Reggio Food Tour: Parmigiano Reggiano, balsamic vinegar, cured meats & wines
Overview
This 5-hour itinerary includes visits to a Parmigiano Reggiano dairy farm and a traditional balsamic vinegar production facility. You can also customize your half-day by choosing to visit the production of cured meats (such as prosciutto, salami, and coppa) or enjoy a glass of Lambrusco at a vineyard while learning about the production process of delicious local wines.
Parmigiano Reggiano Dairy Farm
Our first stop will be at the Parmigiano Reggiano dairy farm, where we will witness the production process and have a guided tasting of the famous cheese. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to observe the production of this cheese king and take some great photos with your friends and family surrounded by thousands of wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano.
Traditional Balsamic Vinegar
Our second stop will be at an “Acetaia” where you will learn about the production process of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar and enjoy a guided tasting. The production process of Balsamic Vinegar is incredibly fascinating, and our local guides will help you understand how to use it to impress your friends and family at home.
